Happy 273rd Birthday TJ

Happy Birthday TJ! April 13 was the 273 anniversary of Thomas Jefferson’s birthday. To celebrate TJVF hosted a fabulous dinner for students participating in extra curricular activities along with their coaches and sponsors at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Travinia Italian Kitchen, at Willow Lawn, donated fresh bread and beverages, Mark F. donated his time and special culinary expertise and skills to prepare our main course, Spaghetti. Volunteers Jen, Harrison, Tammy and Carolyn provided the necessary support to see that everything came off without a hitch. This was our chance to thank these students and their leaders for their commitment to a more full educational experience.  The big news announced  that evening was that TJVF is sponsoring a $500 football scholarship to be awarded to a graduating player, in honor of  our past head coach Chad Hornik and and a $500 academic scholarship to be awarded to a graduating senior.  This event, with the help of our supporters, is helping to fulfill our mission, to build greater capacity in its students for leadership and personal success. We expect  to make this an annual event so plan to take part next time.
