The TJVF is a strong, active nonprofit volunteer organization for Thomas Jefferson High School, the neighborhood school every parent wants their child to attend; where every teacher wants to teach; where retirees want to mentor or tutor, and every business in the community wants to brag about its contributions the school’s success.
The success of the TJVF has stimulated unprecedented interest in and support for the school, generating annual funds necessary to sustain school excellence.
The TJVF is a committed and diverse board with a well-organized volunteer group, and a strategic guide for its operations.
Importantly, the TJVF is a cooperative partner with both the administration of Thomas Jefferson High School and the Richmond Public Schools. The TJVF is a well-known, duplicated model for other schools both in and outside Virginia.
